The Lion Rampant (standing on his hind legs) has been used as a heraldic
symbol by the kings of Scotland since the 12th century when it was the
personal flag of William I ("William the Lion").
Completed bead pattern measures roughly 2.4" x 2.2" and makes a wonderful front
for an amulet bag. (For the full Scots treatment, add my thistle bead pattern
"Hail, Caledonia" on the reverse side.)
Or personalize the reverse side with a script capitol monogram. Also lovely as an applique for another type of bag or clothing.
Pattern includes a color photo of the finished piece, a full color beading chart,
a Word bead chart with the first two rows combined and alternate rows reversed
for easy beading, a list of suggested Delica color numbers (6) and with bead counts
required for each. Beading tips also included.
Stitch: Peyote or Brick
Beads required: 1512 (7.56 grams)
Finished size: 2.4" x 2.15"
Price: $2.95
